Who regulates dealers in Alberta
AMVIC (Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council) licenses dealers and administers vehicle-sale rules under the Fair Trading Act.
Rules change, so confirm current requirements directly with the regulator before relying on any template.
Sales tax
Alberta has no provincial sales tax, so GST alone applies to vehicle sales.
In Dealer Garage you name each tax and enter its rate under Deal and Taxation in Settings; the deal builder applies them after the trade-in allowance. Confirm the rates and how trade-ins are treated with your accountant or tax authority.
