Short answer
Install the Host on an always-on office computer, choose a company name so remote staff can connect, add each person and give them a one-time code, have them install the employee app and read the consent screen, then check in the first week that each person's time and project choices look right.
Setup
- Install Clockgauge Host on a computer that stays on during work hours.
- In Team, choose "Let staff work from home" and pick a company name.
- Add each person and give them their code, which includes the company name.
- Staff install the employee app, enter the code and grant the macOS permissions it asks for, one step at a time.
- They read the consent screen and agree.
- Create clients, projects and tasks and assign them.
First week
- Check each person appears online when they start.
- Look for people who forgot to choose a task.
- Review a sample of screenshots with the team so everyone knows what they look like.

Common first-week problems
- Someone starts without choosing a project and task: the app will not let them.
- macOS permission steps are skipped: the app shows which step is next.
- The Host computer went to sleep: change its energy settings.
- A code is mistyped: generate a new one.
Questions people ask
