Short answer

Clockgauge is free for one host and one employee. For a team, the licence is $199 once for up to 20 people (first year of updates included, then $20 a year) or $279 once for up to 100 (then $100 a year). There is no per-user monthly fee, and the app keeps working if you stop paying the yearly fee.

Free: 1 host + 1 employee$0Nothing
Up to 20 people$199$20 a year, optional
Up to 100 people$279$100 a year, optional

What the yearly fee covers

Updates and support. If you do not renew, nothing is switched off and remote access continues to work.

Compared over three years

For ten people, a per-user monthly plan means 360 person-months of fees over three years. Use real quotes and the template in one-time and subscription compared.

What it needs from you

An always-on computer to host the data and a backup habit. See self-hosted time tracking explained.

Questions people ask

Are purchases tied to a licence key?

No. They are tied to your email address and you sign in with a one-time code.

What if I outgrow 20 people?

Upgrade to the 100-person plan by paying the difference.
