Short answer

Dealer Garage is a native desktop app for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 and 11. A dealership with Macs can install it like any Mac app, and the Mac build is signed with a Developer ID and notarised by Apple so macOS opens it normally. Pro lets other computers, Mac or Windows, connect to the main one.

Why it matters

Much dealer software is built for Windows or runs only in a web browser. If your office uses Macs, an installable app that treats them as first-class avoids running a second computer just for software.

Installing on a Mac

  1. Download the installer for Apple Silicon or Intel.
  2. Open the disk image and drag Dealer Garage to Applications.
  3. Open it, create the owner login and set up the dealership.

Because it is signed and notarised, Gatekeeper opens it without a warning.

Mixed offices

With Pro, a Mac can host the data and Windows PCs connect to it with seat keys, or the other way around. See multi-computer Pro.

Facebook Marketplace on a Mac

The Marketplace extension is for Google Chrome, which runs on macOS. See Marketplace posting.

Questions people ask
